Penn State Berks, a branch campus of Penn State University, has introduced a new academic award for military personnel.
Pennsylvania Entertainment, a gambling company based in the United States, has declared that it will fund a military scholarship at Penn State Berks. The scholarship will be financed by a multi-year donation of $50,000, which the company stated is intended to support the Berks County community, where Pennsylvania Entertainment is headquartered. The company stated that the program is part of Pennsylvania Entertainment’s ongoing commitment to supporting veterans and active military personnel.
The award will be granted to veterans, active reservists, or National Guard members who have shown financial need. The school currently has nearly 50 veteran students enrolled.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Penn State Berks to establish this scholarship, which will further solidify our support for the military and the local community,” said Eric Shippers, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at Pennsylvania Entertainment. “Pennsylvania Entertainment is dedicated to acknowledging and empowering our nation’s heroes, and this scholarship will enhance our overall military recruitment and recognition endeavors.”
